Today I'm going to do a review of the Spyder Victor paintball gun. This marker is targeted towards the paintball beginner or intermediate. In terms of sheer value, the gun is actually fairly high rated. It does have it's faults, but for the price range, it is pretty darn respectable.

The Victor is a very inexpensive paintball gun but its performance isn't too bad. It will fire as fast as you can shoot, but it's got a long and somewhat stiff trigger pull, so don't expect any crazy rate of fire. It's not particularly consistent so paintball muzzle velocity can vary significantly from shot to shot. Despite its inconsistency, the Victor does shoot fairly accurately as long as you use decent paintballs and you should be able to hit an opposing player at 40 feet (or even further) within a couple of shots. One weakness is the Victor's tendency to chop paint in the chamber – I experienced about one chop for every 100-200 shots, but if you find a brand of paintball that works well with your gun (different guns "prefer" different brands), you may not see any chopping at all.

The gun is effective up to a range of 150 feet, although anything over 100 feet is a challenge for a non-upgraded barrel. The marker also has a front fore-grip and a built in sight with sight-rail. With appropriate upgrades, it makes a good sniper marker.

NOTE: Two thing I forgot to mention are, #1 Your Power Tube will not slide out the back unless you have screwed your velocity screw in all the way. #2 you can just use a couple Q-Tips to clean out your Cyclone feed system. In this video I will show you how to disassemble, clean, reassemble, and provide basic maintenance for your paintball equipment. The tools required are a regular screwdriver, and two allen wrenches in sizes; 1/8", 3/16". These two allen wrenches are the smallest and largest allen wrenches included with your A-5.

Today I'm going to review another high quality paintball marker. The Alien Interceptor is a beast. The gun currently retails for around $575, which is an absolute steal for that price range. I still believe the Planet Eclipse Etek 3 LT is the best bang for your buck marker, but the Alien Interceptor is close behind.

The Alien Interceptor is a great paintball gun without a doubt. Other than the Planet Eclipse Etek 3 LT, it's very hard to find a gun that is as good value. Well done Alien, you've managed to create a gun that is well worth buying.
